ROHDE & SCHWARZ SMU200A 2.2 /3 /4 or 6 GHz Vector Signal Generator

The R&S SMU200A (1141.2005.02) Vector Signal Generator has been designed to meet all requirements encountered in research and development of modern communications systems as well as in their production. Due to its modular design, the R&S SMU200A can be optimally adapted to the requirements of different applications. The first RF path can be equipped with one of the four available frequency options. The upper frequency limit of 2.2 GHz/3 GHz/4 GHz or 6 GHz is user-selectable. In addition, a second RF path can be installed with upper frequency limits of 2.2 GHz and 3 GHz. The lower frequency limit of all frequency options is 100 kHz. Specifications. Frequency range: 100 kHz to 2.2 GHz / 3 GHz / 4 GHz / 6 GHz. Setting time: <3 ms. Setting time in List mode: <450 µs. Level Range: –145 dBm to +13 dBm (PEP, 3 GHz). SSB phase noise (20 kHz carrier offset, 1 Hz measurement bandwidth): typ. –135 dBc. RF modulation bandwidth Using external I/Q inputs: 200 MHz. dBm
dBm (sometimes dBmW) is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). Zero dBm equals one milliwatt. A 3 dB increase represents roughly doubling the power, a 3 dB decrease, the power is reduced by about one half.

Millimeter-wave
Millimeter-wave is a term that generally refers to frequencies of 26.5 GHz and above. That is where signal wavelengths fall below approximately 10 mm, and thus the terminology changes from centimeters to millimeters.

Power Repeatability
Power Repeatability is the random uncertainty in reproducing the power level after changing and re-setting the power level. The power repeatability is ± half the span (in dB) between the highest and lowest actual power. Note: - The long-term power repeatability can be obtained by taken the power repeatability and power stability into account.

Stability is the extent to which a specified property, characteristic, or parameter of a substance, device, or apparatus, remains fixed with the passage of time or with varying environmental conditions.
